It's the second-last podcast for the year! This week we have a highly serious discussion about whether Bayonetta is a worthy mother or not.
We also talk about the new SoulCalibur and how the fighting game genre is shaping up in 2018, and then we chat about the dead franchises that we would like to see make a return in 2018.
Enjoy! And be sure to catch us on Twitter:

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 released last week, and it's a pretty big deal. So we spent a good bit of time this week discussing that game, and some of the major debates around it.
Then we have a good chat about the games that we'll be catching up with over the holiday season (it really has been a busy year, so there are a lot of them), and, finally, we have the ultimate debate of them all: which is the best Final Fantasy game of all time.
Enjoy, and be sure to catch us on Twitter:

The games of December and photo modes! (Digitally Uploaded 2017, Episode #40)

Welcome to an unfortunately short podcast. Technical issues got in the way, but still, we managed to get a half hour show together!
This week we look at the games you'll be playing in December (and there are indeed a few good releases in a month that's usually dead). We also take a good look at photo modes in games, as one of the major trends of 2017 that we've really enjoyed.
Enjoy the podcast, and be sure to catch us on Twitter!

It's almost that time of year! Game awards are upon us, and of course DDNet has our take on that as well! We give you a bit of a preview of what to expect from the awards this year, as well as some of the others that are happening.
We also take a look at The Sims, and some of the sadistic things we do to our Sims when we play. And then we take a look at some of the super artsy games that are out there at the moment, and our thoughts on those.
Thanks as always for listening, and stay tuned for plenty more next week! In the meantime, you can catch us on social media:

After such a cracking first year (Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 2), is there anything Nintendo can do to make the Switch's second year as massive as the first?
And NieR 3 is officially happening... do we dare dream that it could be better than NieR: Automata?
This week we have a bit of a look forward to what's ahead... when a certain guest isn't derailing things with Sonic, of course.

Yeah, we went there. We're still likely years away from a Final Fantasy XVI, but that doesn't stop us fantasising (hah) about it on this week's podcast!
More practically, we discuss some of the amazing indie games released on the Nintendo Switch in recent weeks. With all the hype behind Mario Odyssey and Fire Emblem Warriors it's easy to forget that there are many, many new amazing indie games released on the console each week.
Finally, we talk about Call of Duty. Not because we want to, but because it's one of the biggest games of the year, and therefore we should talk about it.
As always, you can catch us all on Twitter!

So November might not be quite as busy in terms of game releases as October was, but there's still plenty to look forward to!
We also have a special guest on the podcast, Jay from YouTube channel JayRPG (https://www.youtube.com/c/JayRPGee), who talks to us about Lost Sphear and the Secret of Mana remake that he had time to go hands on with recently.
And, finally, we have a chat about Visual Novel maker - a new and exciting addition to the "Maker" family of software (think RPG Maker), that makes it very, very easy to create your own VNs.

Halloween's getting close now, so naturally there's a bunch of new horror game releases, and of course we take the opportunity to talk about that in this week's podcast!
We also have a good ol' chat about Lord of the Rings, and what an awful job the new Middle-earth: Shadow of War does at respecting Tolkien's vision. Then, to round this week's discussion off, we talk about going back and discovering old classics, and what it's like playing an old game for the first time now - it's quite amazing to see how far games have come in such a short time.

We get a little bit serious this week.
Two of the ongoing debates at the moment in the games industry and community are loot boxes (which are appearing in just about every major game release, it seems), and game difficulty (or, whether Cuphead should be easy or hard).
So of course we decide to throw our own opinions out there about these two topics this week. They're important to discuss, because they do impact on a lot of games that we play.

Matt's back! And that means the Digitally Uploaded podcast is a go again!
Unfortunately we discovered while Matt was in Japan that technical issues meant that we couldn't record new episodes of the podcast, so sorry about that, but we're back now, and boy have we got a great show for you this week!
First we look at the many, many great releases that are happening in October, and discuss what we're looking forward to the most. Then we have a chat about some of the highlights of TGS, which weren't really well covered outside of Japan.
Finally, we discuss the SNES Mini console, and all the positives and negatives of Nintendo's latest hardware release.
